And that's being generous. From the times I've met as a member and visitor from 1993 on, I've noticed a generation gap. Currently one might find a local church with members 65+ years and older, those that are 18-40, but pressed to find those 41-64. Just an observation.
While the attention and care might be on the college work, there's the young families, families with teenagers, and single brothers and sisters no longer college age, and these ones if not cared for properly will find a church that counts them essential members of the Body.
