Default Website: Making Straight the Way of the Lord

Making Straight the Way of the Lord

www.MakingStraighttheWayoftheLord.com

This website streamlines the writings of many into a smaller collection of writings in the interests of brevity and focus for addressing crucial issues of division.

The local churches of the Lord’s recovery under the ministries of Watchman Nee and Witness Lee have had an obvious deviation from their original path that began nine decades ago. The documents on this website provide a well-rounded account of both past and more recent history of the local churches, especially churches in the U. S. Since it is a factual and transparent account, it does not hide relevant points regarding the true causes of turmoil and division in the local churches. Therefore, the reader will be able to see clearly the path of deviation taken in the local churches, beginning with its very earliest signs in the glory years of the 60s, through its growth and development in the 70s, 80s, and 90s, to its full manifestation in 2005 with the One Publication Proclamation and subsequent quarantines in 2006.

Whatever has been inordinately lifted up in the local churches needs to be torn down. Whatever bears false witness to our history concerning men and events needs to be overturned. Whatever misrepresents God Himself and His feeling toward the condemned, the outcast, and the wounded needs to be made right before Him and the congregation. In other words, whatever action needs to be taken to make straight the way of the Lord should be done – just as in the days of Hezekiah who worked that which was “good and right and truth” before God.

HEZEKIAH – “and thus did Hezekiah throughout all Judah, and wrought that which was good and right and truth before the Lord his God.” (2 Chron. 31:20, King James)

Witness Lee once shared that Hezekiah was the most outstanding man of God in the Old Testament because he made wrong things right before God, and before His people who had deviated from the right path. The Local Churches need to consider their way and come back to the right path that they had in the beginning of receiving believers, which was according to the Son of God and nothing more. The documents contained in this website provide help in understanding the current situation in the Local Churches and the path of deviation over the years that has led to the current state of division in the churches. This website is for the serious student of local church history - to not only learn the history, but to learn from it, and be preserved in the truth and be on the right path.

The endeavor was a failure and the products stored in a warehouse. The problems created by this business failure made it difficult for Witness Lee to return to the churches in Taiwan in good graces. But I believe this human failure opened the door for a blessing for many of the seeking Christians in the USA in those early years (since Witness Lee remained in this country as a result of the problem, and ministered.)"
So Witness Lee tried to bank-roll son Timothy's business venture in 1962 with $$ from the Christian assemblies in Taiwan. This failed. 10 years later he did it again, this time with the gullible and naive Americans - again funding a business venture of Timothy's called "Daystar". This also failed. In both cases "investors" turned into "donors". And the resulting scandals were used to purge the movement of all but the "true believers".

Witness Lee said that John Ingalls was his "Timothy", but it seems that his son Timothy was really his "Timothy".
