Sounds like a modern reenactment of the scene in Pride and Prejudice where Mr Collins (here played by Dan T) comes to gloat over the condition of his poor cousins after Lydia is found to have eloped with Mr Wickham without actually getting married. And here Elizabeth (played by John So — I guess no women available for the part) cautions Mr Collins that, as a clergyman, he should probably not be seen even in the vicinity of these women (my paraphrase of EB's words).
And fortunately for all involved, it worked! Mr Collins quickly left. As for Dan T, he was a basket case before he ever met with John So. He was deep down in Lee's bushel basket of minions he could rely on.
