Default The Mysteries of God's New Testament Economy

You will never find the foreward (pages 7-16) at ministrybooks.org. There is good reason why. Following is a passage from page 11.

"The book The Fermentation of the Present Rebellion includes my spoken messages, but its content was edited afterward by me personally. I have carefully checked all the facts and have tried my best to be accurate, to be without any mistakes. In addition to an account of the beginning and development of the whole period of the rebellion, the content of that book includes personal testimonies from over thirty brothers. Therefore, concerning this storm, I have spoken the clarifying and concluding word that I needed to speak. I have absolutely no more interest in talking about this matter. This matter now stops here. I hope that you brothers who have come to attend this conference will not mention it anymore. It does not deserve any more mentioning."

Psalm 32:5
I acknowledged my sin to you, and I did not cover my iniquity; I said, “I will confess my transgressions to the LORD,” and you forgave the iniquity of my sin. Selah

Please elaborate bearbear. How do you tie this verse into the thread?

Testimonies that cannot testify to much other than their personal experiences. Many of these testimonies were from outside Orange County, California. Their scope is far limited compared to brothers in Orange County who were in direct fellowship over concerns (Dan Towle, Dick Taylor, etc).
Most could only testify to receving a unsolicited Church in Anaheim audio tape. In this word, Witness Lee is skewing the scope of the testimonies. For example, if you were a brother in Seattle, you would be naive to the serious situation affecting Orange County.

The natural reaction to sin is to feel shame. Normally the results of this leads us to cover it up, in the same way Adam and Eve tried to hide their nakedness. However God wants us to be transparent with our failures which includes bringing unconfessed and unrepented sins of our past to light. This is the only way we can achieve healing and forgiveness. God always operates in the light but Satan operates in the darkness.

Apostle James teaches us that if we confess our sins to each other we will be healed. That's why I try to be transparent with my failures when I talk to youth and it helps me to heal also.

What the LRC needs to do to heal is to be upfront and transparent about the failings in their past. This is the only way they can achieve healing and forgiveness from God.

1 John 1:6-7
If we say we have fellowship with him while we walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth. But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin.

Help, Lord, for the godly man ceases to be,
For the faithful disappear from among the sons of men.
They speak falsehood to one another;
With flattering lips and with a double heart they speak.

Psalms 12:1-2

Wow the situation that verse describes was exactly what my parents experienced. The righteous were gradually were forced out by lies and false reports. My parents were among those casualties but who would want to stay in that environment anyway?

Generally, I believe those that stay in that environment are those who believe the falsehoods and those that do not see no viable alternatives to meet.
In my situation since the early 80's and all of the 90's my dad did not meet and for my mom, fellowship that comes from LSM co-workers is trusted.

Why I quoted Psalms 12:1-2, is because there was falsehood spoken. Witness Lee was not the "end all" in fact checking. He had bias to say what he did for his son's benefit. In Speaking the Truth With Love, John Ingalls mentioned Phillip Lee over 50 times. Same with John So's message in Manila 1990; Phillip Lee was mentioned over 50 times. In Fermentation of the Present Rebellion, scarcely was Phillip mentioned and strictly in a positive light.
Some of the current blended co-workers knew about Phillip lack of character. Yet when it comes to Witness Lee's official word, LSM co-workers receive the falsehood as truth. This is the party line. Chris Wilde considers this a closed matter. There is no need to open up old wounds. There is nothing new to be learned.

"the brothers here just do not have the heart to reopen old wounds and delve into matters that we believe were resolved many years ago."

If there is one word that describes this, CONCEALMENT.

I couldn't agree more, bear bear. Sorry I missed this post in January. It bear bears repeating (dumb pun intended).
