Even with shepherding, they really got it all wrong. They talk about shepherding all the time. When put into practice, however, it is anything but. Actions that are assumed to be efforts at "shepherding" someone are actually quite the opposite. An example of this might be pressuring someone to attend a meeting who in reality just needs someone to talk to. At a basic level, I don't even think many in the LC are empowered to really take the necessary actions to really help someone out.
