I have questioned God many times. Disagreed with the way things have gone. Sometimes my heart gets hard and cold. But I never gave up my faith in Him, or my love for Him. Because He loves me, and never gave up on me.

And how in the world can you know His guidance without His word? There is a world of difference between loving His word and idolizing it, but from where you are standing, how can you tell the difference? Without His word, all you are left with is your imagination.

I got the same kind of speaking from family and friends. And, looking back, maybe they had a point.

But God is good. It was arguably a step up from slamming keg beer and vomiting on the living room carpet.

I, however, tried to make it to the bathroom.

Couple comments though ...

The attacks on me personally blasphemed the mighty work of the Spirit in my life. It was, at first, undeniably Jesus who changed me, but eventually all the positive became attributed to the devil.

Secondly, the attacks were all misinformed, being instigated by spiritual jealousy. They came in the form of modalism and eastern philosophy, such as chanting, which were ridiculous. Had the facts of our history been made public, more of us would have listened.
