The most well known pastor I'm aware of that holds to the marriage permanence view is John Piper:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h5CtfT-MqgA He argues that the royal marriage law is downstream from Ephesians 5:25 "Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her". Christ as our husband is still faithful to us even when we commit spiritual adultery or abandon him (2 Timothy 2:13). In the same way if our spouse were to commit adultery or leave us we should remain faithful and wait for reconciliation just like the father did with the prodigal son in Luke 15. Remarrying destroys any chance of reconciliation. 1 John 2:6 whoever says he abides in him ought to walk in the same way in which he walked.
