Great commandment

34 When the Pharisees heard that Jesus had left the Sadducees speechless, they met together.

35 One of them, a legal expert, tested him.

36 “Teacher, what is the greatest commandment in the Law?”

37 He replied, “You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your being,[c] and with all your mind.

38 This is the first and greatest commandment.

39 And the second is like it: You must love your neighbor as you love yourself.[d]

40 All the Law and the Prophets depend on these two commands.”

Prayer:

Dear God,

Please help me live out Your first and greatest commandment, and the second.
Teach me what it means to love You.
Show me how to love my neighbor as how I love myself.

2 Peter 1:5-8 (GOD’S WORD Translation)

Because of this, make every effort to add integrity to your faith; and to integrity add knowledge; to knowledge add self-control; to self-control add endurance; to endurance add godliness; to godliness add Christian affection; and to Christian affection add love. If you have these qualities and they are increasing, it demonstrates that your knowledge about our Lord Jesus Christ is living and productive.
