Wonderful meme!
I think its important that those of us in the local church do not cut ourselves off from other Christians. If we do then we risk becoming self-righteous.

jesusislord, good job making sure to squeeze the names "Nee and Lee" in there. The LC always has to make it about them.
Dead on!

Kangaskhan, at least from my experience, this ship has already sailed. The risk of becoming self-righteous is not longer a risk but an embedded reality.
The LC does everything they can to cut themselves off from other Christians including spitting on them (metaphorically), looking down on them, calling them "Christless" and "spiritual fornicators", suing them, and literally saying "we have burnt all bridges to Christianity and want to widen the gap and never rebuild the bridges."
And they've been saying those things for a while.

And they've been saying those things for a while.I had forgotten about calling other gatherings "Christless." If I remember right, the phrase was, "Demonic Catholicism & Christless Christianity." I do think there is some truth to the part about Catholicism, as a system - full of idols and mysterious practices and deviating significantly from the pure word. But there are many genuine, regenerated believers in Catholicism too. I think the original idea here is it's the systematized religion of Christianity that is "Christless."
But it's a very fine line, and one which WL and the LCs crossed over to become accusers of the brethren and look down on them. It was/is divisive and consequently becoming puffed up toward other believers has been irresistible.
Granted, the overall condition of the church doesn't look very good to human eyes. But in faith, we know He is building it and will present Himself with a glorious church - a bride without any blemish. So we have to be very careful how we address those He has purchased with His own blood!

Oh the hypocrisy runs rampant in the local churches. There was no problem cutting themselves off from other Christians, but as soon as a segment of former Lcers began meeting apart from the Local Churches, they'll say "they're meeting independently from the body".

There was no problem cutting themselves off from other Christians, but as soon as a segment of former Lcers began meeting apart from the Local Churches, they'll say "they're meeting independently from the body".I had some fellowship with a brother this morning along this exact line. He pointed out that the five of the 7 churches in Revelation had serious problems, yet each of them were still a church. Paul referenced many who had left him in Asia, yet they were still a church. In 3rd John, Diotrephes is mentioned as having significant problems, yet the group he lead was still called a church. And, of course, the Greek word translated "church" just means the called out assembly.
So whether you have problems, have left the fellowship of others or whatever, scripture still says they were an ekklesia (church). Therefore to say some Christians are "meeting independently from the body" is just silly talk that is out of blindness from holding onto an inaccurate doctrine.

Who gave these people to call themselves as the body? They seriously need to be saved from their delusion and looks around all the Christians around them. They claim others are divisive denominations, now what are they? God's best group?

My friend, they give themselves these self titles and ego blooded claims in order to make them feel special. Most importantly witness lee started this vainglorious image of the LC in order to preserve membership. He tried his best to make it seem like his church was "the true church" in order to attempt to distinguish himself and justify the existence of the Local churches. There are only a few other groups that hold themselves to such high esteem, and they are all stuck in the same gutter. Just a small group of prideful deluded individuals that will be nothing more and possibly much less.
They wish they can be as ubiquitous as the denominations and have the numbers and outreach as them. But they fail to realize all their traits of exclusivity pretends to be just that. They cannot prosper in growth because they are missing a crucial aspect of Christ (The inclusivity of the acceptance of fellow man and the commandments of love that from Christ). The local church aim to have followers to submission to emperor lee, and nothing else is acceptable. Most other churches aim to have their followers submit to Christ. You see how many more people will follow the ideals of the latter than the former? There are plenty of people that seek Christ, and the denominations will continue to prosper under that premise. But the amount of people willing to submit to the despot lee?- yeah hahahahahahaha, I'm sorry but good luck with that, lets just say not too many people are going to fall through with that. But the despots at Anaheim could care less about the values of Christ, they just wish to maintain the agenda and doctrine of emperor lee. Through this practice of abandoning the traits of Christ (I will make a thread on this cause it goes real deep, and it explains the impossibility of the LC going beyond the stages of a small personality cult). The LC does not reflect Christianity and its inclusivity cause in essence they are not Christian to the fullest extent, they nit pick certain aspects of Christianity but they are missing lots of Christ.

Hi
Brother Nee was right about everything that pertains to the ground of unity except one thing: he was not correct enough about the clergy-laity system. Jesus said "it shall not be so among you." In other words there is NO SUCH THING as a brother or sister having authority over another saint of God (except on the earthly level, such as children to parents, wives to husbands ertc.
