Default Greetings from NZ

Hello, my brothers and sisters! I am a sister in NZ. I live in the capital city of Wellington with my family. We have been in the LC near on 30 years. Now I am not happy to be a part of it. We still see the saints and they are precious to us. Also enjoy fellowship with other christians out there. We do not know what to do and how to meet yet. Some of us are confused. Me, I would just love to have a translation over to the GLA. I am really enjoying your sitE. I find it to be very helpful and it is good to know of others out there who are in a similar position.

Joanna, you better stay put. I know it may seem that the "grass is always greener" in the GLA, but that's only because it's summertime here, and you are in the middle of winter.

Some of the places here in the GLA have little change. Like the old saying, "meet the new boss, same as the old boss." Even when moving in the right direction, things change slowly. For those places which have not even started in the right direction, things may be worse. Ask Suannehill. She is meeting in the back yard, around her pond.

Winter though will certainly bring a change in meeting location.

Default ALL the EARTH

Hi Joanne,

I have a collection of songs by various artists on a CD called 'Days of Elijah'.

There is a song on it by a group..very popular Christian group from New Zealand called Parachute Band.

The song title is 'All the Earth'. I LOVE IT. When it begins, I believe it was recorded live in NEW ZEALAND as it mentions NZ and cities you are probably familiar with. I was hoping I could link a YOUTUBE for it but there isn't one.

Here are the words to the song nonetheless. Hope you enjoy it.

Father
Into Your courts I will enter
Maker of heaven and earth
I tremble
In Your holy presence
Glory
Glory in Your sanctuary
Splendor and majesty Lord
Before You
All life adores You
C:
All the earth
Will declare
That Your love is everywhere
The fields will exalt
Seas resound
Hear the trees
Joyful cry
Praising You and so will I
A new song I'll sing
Lord I will
Ct1:
Glorify and bless Your holy name
Ct2:
Glorify Your name
Ct3:
Glorify and bless Your name

Thank you for your replies, all of you. Yes, you are so right. Things always look better at a distance, but on closer inspection, all the bugs in the garden can be seen. I think I am being impatient. How hard it is to wait on the Lord, but this is something I need to learn to do. I get into trouble often because I see something and want to bulldoze others into seeing my view as well. My poor family suffer from my zeal. I try to tone myself down, but the words bust out. Oh well....
Yes, I have heard that song on the radio, countmeworthy. I loved it too. The Parachute band play at a very large music festival each year. Lots of other christian bands play there as well and a lot of NZ youth go and enjoy it. Even unsaved people go, which is great.

Joanna I believe when we turn our attention away from the successes and failures of religious movements and back to God our faith increases because He is the foundation of our faith. And because the church is on His heart He will lead each of us to where we need to meet and where He can use us best at this moment in time. But if we focus on the church our faith will diminish. Our faith cannot be rooted in the church it must be in Him and Him alone.
