Default Westmoreland Chapel

I would like to know if anyone is familiar with the history of Westmoreland Chapel. I am presently trying to figure out its history from about 1950 to 1970.

The parallels of this movement and the LC movement are stunning, and sad. There is truly nothing new under the sun.

I agree that the parallels with the LC are stunning.

I'm not sure what understanding the history of the group prior to 1970 would establish. The history provided would indicate that what it was prior to 1970 was usurped at that time by a man who created a little kingdom out of it from which he earned all the money not required to operate the assemblies that were part of his organization. Well at least until the sinful abuses of his son were exposed in the early 2000s. Seems he is starting over again with four assemblies that remained loyal.

It really sounds familiar.

Yeah... I had to look at real close to see if it was an LC branch or not!

Sad for all these people. May God strengthen their spirits that they put their Hope, Trust, & Love in Jesus alone. May they not fall off the deep end.
