Victory over the digital world.
Greetings brothers from Spain. I have some time without entering the forum, so I take this opportunity to leave this message that I believe will be a blessing for many.
After having spent some time taking the necessary measures to be as free and available for the Lord, I want to share with you what is now in my heart regarding the time and the call that the Lord has made to each one of us in particular. The brothers who come from a technological culture will understand how complex it is to live a healthy life with respect to the use of technology, the internet, social networks, digital institutional errands, the useful and healthy use of cell phones, computers, tablets and electronic devices. More and more, the system pushes to live a life where you have to invest more time, energy and health to maintain a standard or acceptable digital profile depending on the social stratum you are and it becomes quite exhausting and enslaving. That is why I encourage the brothers who are going through similar experiences, where they feel exhausted by the constant use of technology in various aspects of human life, it is necessary to overcome and take radical measures to not be usurped by life online, and try to maintain an acceptable virtual profile. The more time we spend busy in virtual profiles, the less time we use to live a human life in the physical, the excess of being connected on the internet, digital entertainment, social networks, video games, sterile navigation on the internet, the feeling of being connected, the constant configuration of digital equipment, the constant navigation in the options and applications of mobile, tablet, inncessary electronic devices among others. The digital siege tries to dehumanize us more and more in such a way that we live more connected in the virtual profiles of the screens than the real physical experience of ourselves and our environment. The crisis of loneliness and singleness for some is a breeding ground for technology to usurp that need for companionship and connecting with others. Although at this time I am devoting time to personal research on things I want to understand with a view to commissioning and edification, I recognize that there is a fine line between the healthy use of the internet and the addictive habit and bad habit of being immersed in the digital world. I truly believe that if we have problems with the use of technology and the internet and we are sincere with the Lord Jesus, He can solve the challenges in a practical way and give us victory over technology today. I feel happy to be able to overcome the digital part, step by step, process by process to learn to use time much better and be more available for the Lord and His work in me and around me. So I encourage the brothers who have problems with the internet, technology, social networks, digital entertainment, video games, virtual idleness, addiction to digital profiles, to be sincere and radical and be willing to take all the necessary measures to be able to be free from any digital usurpation that is enslaving you and making you useless with our responsibility to the Lord in any personal area and around us. One of the things that may be preventing us from using our spiritual gifts and human talents in the physical part is addiction to the digital world and I ask the Lord Jesus to illuminate and bring to light every dark and subtle work that may be in the hearts to May we be free from this inner digital tyranny. Strength and courage in Christ Jesus for a powerful victory! |

My wife and I had the opportunity to tour southern Spain in February 2023. Of course we saw Madrid. Also Valencia, Cadiz, Jerez, Granada, Seville, Toledo, Cordoba, Salamanca, and my favorite of the places we visited Segovia. I echo your words regarding social media. Though I have an account, I have not been active on facebook since 2021. It's one of life's regrets I even got started in the first place. I have not missed it. Unless it's meeting someone in person, email is my method of electronic communication.

Re: Victory over the digital world.
Thank you for taking time to respond. We are in the end times and we see how the science mentioned in Daniel is becoming more a reality. I also speak for the one who is silent and has no voice, because I am sure that there are many Christians today fighting against video games and pornography. The love of the machine, technology, social media, the love of being connected to the internet is destroying Christians, increasingly dehumanizing, and ending the normal physical human Christian life. There may very well be few answers to this topic because it is quite uncomfortable and because it exposes the hidden sin in the hearts of the people.
