Ron Kangas Speaks
Ron Kangas Speaks
A couple of representatives in the leadership of what is still referred to as “the Lords recovery” seemed to find it necessary to admit publicly that they argue - even with the "minister of the age” ministry permeating every day of their lives in seven feasts a year and in all the digestion fellowship that follows. Minoru said “we hardly finish going over the fellowship from one feast when another feast begins”. Yet, “the spirit of prayer and praise is weak,” he points out (2018). There are also other conferences interspersed that contribute to the ministry-centric culture and the extreme busy nature of the church life, which if they keep up their pace they will always think that they are rich and have need of nothing. And will never need to STOP and examine themselves or listen to other voices trying ineffectively for many years to get their attention onto their essential need - to address the facts of their past, instead of burying them; leaders simply discard anyone’s attempt to help them to repentance unto life. Being rich in a ministry, yet poor in Christ will not make overcomers of anyone, though they may know all mysteries. Will the one who speaks about former leaders, Miriams, and defenders of them, begin to respond to the woeful concerns and facts about himself. 1) Misrepresenting Sisters in Anaheim Ron Kangas has referred to certain sisters with disdain again and again from the platform over the years including 2019-2020. But he does not give pertinent detail as to why he alleged they were “a cancer...a spiritual leukemia in the Body that the Lord had to surgically remove.” He said that they were doing their own thing, not under the elders, and that they were writing a book….” (Bellevue WA, 2002 conf.) He just doesn’t talk about what they did, we are just supposed to believe him and his word about them being “a spiritual leukemia in the Body.” But when he talks like this - then and now - many know those he talks about. And, I know them just enough to know that Ron is misrepresenting them - and God. God knows the whole story including Ron's own involvement in the goings on, which are kept under cover to protect names and prevent embarassment. Ann: “Dear Steve, Yes, I will be happy to share with you some of the things that the Lord did in and for us that He might be glorified in His covenant love for His own. I believe Harriet and Sandee have already told you that we met with the elders regularly to pray with them and let them know what the Lord was doing in His care for the sisters through us. There was no desire to serve independently of the elders, so all was open and transparent before them.” Replying to Ron's word that these “three holy sisters" were a cancer, a spiritual leukemia in the Body who were also writing a book, a second “holy sister” shared this: Harriet: "Hi Steve, I know nothing about such a book, To Those Who are Alive and Remain. This is the first I've heard of it. I never heard either Sandee or Ann say anything about thinking the "sisters" were the ones who were going to be raptured and I myself never had such a thought. What a terrible thing. "This was never never discussed. Satan has a clever way of introducing lies. We really need the discernment of the Holy Spirit. Well we just can't take our eyes off Jesus. How I praise Him for the light He gives us! I pray again that He will graciously shine His light on everyone concerned in this situation...... …Dear Brother Steve I hope and pray you stay very close to the Lord in all your investigations. The Lord keep you and protect you!!! Harriet _______ ." Harriet’s first email after a phone conversation with her. Dear Steve, Thank you for your phone call last night. I hope it was a help to you. Well, I pray the Holy Spirit will guide us as we seek. It is so strange to me to be going over all of the past things now but I pray our Lord's purposes will be served!!! He is worthy of all our efforts in His behalf… The Lord keep you dear brother. Harriet_______ After receiving and listening to the tape of Ron's speaking about her in Bellevue, another “holy sister,” Sandee Rapoport, expressed in a letter her love and forgiveness for her brother in Christ, Ron Kangas. Sandee: THERE IS STILL MUCH STIRRING INWARDLY, AND PRAYER FOR RON K. AND SAINTS IN L.C. MY HEART BREAKS THAT WE AS ONE BODY IN CHRIST, STILL WILL NOT OPEN OUR HEARTS TO FELLOWSHIP WITH ALL GOD’S FAMILY. THE HOLY SPIRIT IS AT WORK, THERE IS LOTS OF PRAYER, GOD HAS HIS TIME IN REGARDS TO SHARING TESTIMONIES WE HAVE TO RON K. THEY’RE MORE FOR OTHERS ANYWAY, I LOOK TO GOD FOR OPPORTUNITIES TO TALK WITH RON ABOUT THESE OFFENSES HE HOLDS AGAINST US….STEVE, GO FORWARD, GOD IS WITH YOU TO FULFILL HIS BURDEN IN YOU FOR HIS BODY'S SAKE. SO GLAD YOU ARE ABLE TO TOUCH SO MANY SAINTS WHO HAVE LEFT, MUCH GRACE AND REVELATION IS ON ITS WAY. BLESS YOU SANDEE Ann: cont. “…I was very helped, Steve, by the love of Christ that came to me through Sandee. Through simple prayer together one afternoon, I was set free from an old misunderstanding and given a new love for my dear Fred. Also, I saw God's great love break down other walls and barriers between sisters and couples, restoring oneness. The result was a new flow of joy and love in our relationship with Him and each other. I believe that this became a source of jealousy to some, although we were open and reaching out to all." There is more supporting detail to come that Sandee shares about, and a serious matter that the three sisters went to Witness Lee about concerning his son, Philip Lee, and the covered up sin in the LSM office. |

Re: Ron Kangas Speaks- Sisters 2003 Bellevue, WA
Whatever is legitimate about Ron Kangas’s account of a sisters rebellion, he has yet to explain it acceptably.
But it is easy to accept why Witness Lee admits that his luxury motor home business, called Daystar, was a cancer in the Body; and it is easy to accept that his son, Philip Lee,who managed LSM, was a cancer widespread in the Body. But he does not speak to these high category storms that WL was responsible for on his deviation from the path. But why does brother Ron bring up the sisters, calling them a cancer that needed to be “cut out” of the Body? Ron speaks here in 2003, having trouble containing himself: http://blendedbody.com/4steveisitt/s...al_sisters.mp3 Yet, he will not touch the malignancy of Daystar or the malignancy of the Philip Lee Factor, each concerning a WL-owned business that fits squarely into the 1970s timeline of confusion and darkness that covering up sin and unrighteous matters resulted in. www.TrueWordsforTruthSeekers.com The sisters had nothing to do with creating these malignancies but they were subjected to them in Anaheim, from where the cancer then spread to other “sites” in the Body of Christ in the “local churches.” The atmosphere in “the Lord’s recovery” had changed and so had Witness Lee, except that such a fiasco matched his penchant and his performance manifest in Asia before embarking for the U. S. http://www.lordsrecovery.us/Timeline...ssLeeEraUS.pdf Ann Malir, a respected sister while in or outside the recovery said, “Some matters of unrighteousness and sin came to my attention. After prayer together with Sandee and Harriet, when we had a personal meeting with Witness Lee, I urged him to take care of what was grieving the Lord. I told him that I had seen the Presence of the Lord leave in another similar situation. His response was, "The Lord would never leave the Recovery." Yet, he said also, “If we become rotten, we are no longer in the reality of the Lord’s recovery...the church has to be pure. Once the church becomes rotten, it loses its nature and standing as the Lord’s testimony.” (Concerning the Lord’s Recovery, WL, 1983) This word WL shared was just after the 1970s and just before WL launched the “one accord” intensification of their movement away from the vision and blueprint of both Nee and Lee in their beginnings and toward the building up of a ministry and ministry-centric churches. “Consider the local churches in Asia to whom [John] wrote: most of them were exceedingly weak; yet those churches were the lampstands, not the ministry of the Apostle John. John’s ministry was far more spiritual than the condition of those churches; yet he did not set up his ministry as a lampstand. “ (W.L., The Vision of God’s Building), 1964) The Ministry Becomes the Lampstand “All gifts and all gifted persons are for the building up of the Body; they are not for any work in itself. The practice of today’s Christianity is absolutely different in principle. Wherever there is a gifted person, a spiritual “giant” with a certain gift, that person will begin a work. He will build up a certain Christian organization or ministry, and possibly call it some worthy name. We are not opposing anyone, but we are against the wrong principles which damage the Body life. The Apostle Paul did not form any Christian organization; he did not set up any kind of work. For possibly thirty years, he just established local churches. And, he did not keep any work in his own hands. In reading the New Testament we can only find the churches which were built up by him.(Witness Lee, The Vision of God’s Building, 1964) “At the time the Apostle John wrote the book of Revelation he was greatly experienced and matured. Of the twelve apostles he was the only one remaining. Yet he did not build up anything as his work, his ministry. Consider the local churches in Asia to whom he wrote: most of them were exceedingly weak; yet those churches were the lampstands, not the ministry of the Apostle John. John’s ministry was far more spiritual than the condition of those churches; yet he did not set up his ministry as a lampstand. In fact, he did not set up his ministry as anything. All he did was to further the building up of those local churches as the lampstands. Oh, we all must learn this! We must be aware of the dangerous tendency for any local church to become a work, kept in the hand of some gifted person. If such is the case, that is a real degradation. However much the Lord may use a gifted person, however great his ministry may be, the local church must not become his work. God’s intention is not to build up the ministry of any person, but to build up His church. This is not a small matter. “In the New Testament there are the titles, the “church of God” (Acts 20:28), the “church of Christ” (Rom. 16:16), and the “church of the saints” (1 Cor. 14:33); 1Thess. 1:1). There is never any “church of the apostles. The church belongs to God, to Christ, to the saints, not to any apostle. “The greater our gift is, the greater is the danger that we will take over the church and keep it in our hands. This will greatly damage the church life. We must learn not only how to minister in the local church, but also how to keep our hands off the church. This is not easy. The local church is not our personal enterprise. The local church is the property of the local saints, not some worker’s business. Some gifted persons put a local church in their pocket. Oh, this is a real problem! “All the local saints must realize that the local church is their church. If the local saints are not clear concerning this, they will allow a gifted person to take the local churches into his own hands and treat it as his personal property. Then the entire church life will be finished. The local churches belong to the local saints. The gifted persons are just the means to perfect the saints to function; they are only the instruments used by the Lord to build up the churches. “Consider the situation in Christianity today. Look at the situation even from the time of the Reformation: four or five hundred years have passed, and it is still basically the same. Whenever a gifted person is raised up, a certain kind of work is established. I establish my work, you establish your work, he establishes his work. Then the church is gone. This is the source of all the divisions. However, if one gifted brother comes to build a local church, and a second gifted brother comes to build up the same church, there will be no division. All the work must be for the church, not for the workers. The ministry should be for the church; the church should never be for the ministry. We must be exceedingly clear concerning this principle. We must drop all wrong practices. A gifted brother should keep his hands off the local church. Although a gifted brother may sometimes not speak openly in a way of ministry, yet he still may quietly maneuver behind the scenes. Any such maneuvering damages the church. All gifts and gifted persons must be entirely for the local church. This is a tremendously vital matter." |
