Suppose Bro Lee was audited by IRS. It could be IRS didn't find any wrongdoing. Suppose IRS did find something. Logically they would send a bill for the amount to be reconciled.
Issue I think over how much Bro Lee made a year is not with the IRS but those meeting with the local churches. They would be the ones having an issue of Bro Lee making a million a year while many men provided FREE labor in Anaheim and Irving.
Just to put it in perspective in 1979 the highest paid major league baseball player was Rod Carew at $800,000.
