(I wrote this in 2010 describing what, in my experience, the LRC had become. It was not a joke, but heart-breaking.)

The Emperor Has No Clothes
The emperor has no clothes, sad reality,
No clothes! No clothes! Tis shameful notoriety.
His thoughts rise high with pride and pompous gaiety,
He perceives he is robed in purple dignity
With high oratory and vocabulary.
His self-made wisdom is extraordinary,
He must explain his lofty thoughts relentlessly,
Prefaced by, you must know the text congruously.
Arrogance smacks with odious simplicity,
He fans himself with pious prayers religiously,
And pats his back and smiles, strutting conspicuously.
Evidence glares with loss of sensibility,
Foolish and grandiose spirituality,
“I shall be a god”, without feasibility,
He has lost his way, incredulously.
Greater still, his good name and nobility.
Behold, what thinketh thee? Alas! Stupidity!
