Default Everythings Bigger in Texas! Discussions about all things Lone Star State

Despite the fact that my Dad and sister are in the Church in Dallas and my brother is in Arlington, I get no real insight into the local structure or situation.

I’m clear that they are fully entrenched in the LSM system, or at least there is no significant controversy on the subject, but all of the minimal evidence I get is that they are basically going on with something at least somewhat resembling the “church life” as I knew it 20+ years ago.

I wonder if that is simply because the changes have been gradual and not really noticed or if it is that my Dad has tended to not pay attention to the things that might not otherwise be as he thinks they ought. (I know that he thought the HH lawsuit was a waste of somebody’s money, but as far as he knew, it wasn’t his. He also would not be prone to referring to anyone as the apostle of the age or anything like that.)

Is there any objective information on what is going on in Dallas. Or does it appear that Dallas may be just riding the waves and not rocking the boat. Any information would be helpful.
