This thread, partly about Watchman Nee, is mostly about "God's government" in the Local Churches. One time a local church brother went to four elders on my behalf and they listened and also concluded that I indeed had violated God's government in writing In the Wake of the New Way. I thought I was seeking God's kingdom and His righteousness. I remained then, in their discipline mode.

I realized then that they weren't just making a mistake in their judgment concerning me, they operated on an entirely different paradigm. What they thought was all-important was - not the seeking of God's kingdom and His righteousness - but the saints' submission to their authority. Whether I was right or wrong concerning Witness Lee and his new way movement was not even a factor in their thinking. The bottom line was that I was rebellious to "God's government" and I must be subdued.

While doing a search for something else I came across this link with "God's government" in the Local Churches on full display. I was stunned all over again.
