Reece's two cents...
Hey everyone,
For starters, thanks untohim for starting this cool section. I for one think it's great! I have to admit, many of my "threads" were more of a blog than a discussion anyway and didn't quite fit.(and still don't!) Unlike many of you, my rants are from the perspective of a frustrated "outsider" who wants his relative back! At any rate, I hope I've learned to cool it abit and try to listen instead of always sounding off about anything and everything that I may disagree with. I have to admit...Many times, my issues are not specifically with the LC but with reformed theology in general which of course is a bigger fish to fry and includes many of those who call themselves "evangelical." YP called me out on this regarding my "tripartite" man critique among other things I tend to disagree with that has less to do with Lee and more to do with reformed fundamentalist theology in general. (Lee fits into this category as well generally speaking...) I never really gave anyone my testimony or background in the intro so I guess I can share where I'm coming from with my beliefs: 1)I was raised with armenian views and my dad is a full time pastor...I was influenced by John Wesley and Pentecostal teachings... 2) Moved to australia and study theology at an Assembly of God university... 3) Have realized alot in last few years, months, and even days and I reject both the armenian and calvinist views for the most part when it comes to grace, faith, and God's salvation... 4) The threads on "heaven and hell" have had a profound impact on my preconcieved beliefs and have led to me studying this issue at length and totally changing my views of the after-life! Anyway, just wanted to share...thanks also to aron for the discussions about judgment and salvation...it's really caused me to dig deeper!
