Default Elders in the LC vs Pastors

Does anyone know why the LC never called the elders “pastors” or why the non denominations never describe pastors as “elders”?

Paul appointed pastors/shepherds in Ephesians. But in Titus 1:5 he appoints elders in every city and does not mention pastors.

In 1 Peter 5:1, Peter describes himself as a fellow elder.

The OT describes pastors in the Kj version. The NASB refers to pastors as shepherds

My Christian friends and I’m sure yours always refer to their pastors. Hard to explain why in the LC we never had “pastors”.

And of course, everyone knows Mormon missionaries are “elders”

Anyone have any insight? Thanks
