The quick and to the point answer is NO!

The sad fact is there are very few serious bible students around in the Christian community. Many prefer to sit at a preacher/teachers' feet and then repeat what he said/wrote verbatem without letting the LORD truly enlighten them to a true understanding of the Word of God. I have several spiritual mentors whose writings I study closely. But I don't take everything they say/write as 'gospel truth'. If we ask the Lord to give us Wisdom and UNDERSTANDING of HIS WORD, surely the Lord will enlighten us. The LORD JESUS sent us the Holy Spirit to guide us in all TRUTH and Jesus is the Way, the TRUTH and the LIFE. Jesus as the WORD was also in the beginning with GOD and WAS GOD. (John 1:1) In the Beginning, The WORD was the second person of the Godhead. He was not given the name JESUS until God the Father sent Gabriel to Mary and told her she was to bring forth a SON, conceived by the HOLY SPIRIT and HIS Name would be called JESUS. The LSMrs are zealots. If only they were true zealots for the service of GOD and of HIS WORD through the Holy Spirit working in them and through them, they could be used mightily in the work of the Lord for the gospel. BUT, I find them to be more zealots of Witness Lee & his teachings. The Word of God has become a crutch to Lee's interpretation rather than the other way around. To ME, a good Bible teacher/preacher is someone who gives me a stronger desire to pray, to study the Word of God carefully, prayerfully, to fellowship with believers and to share the gospel. If my heart, my spirit is filled with the desire to KNOW GOD, our ABBA Father, His SON, our Redeemer, Saviour, Lord and KING, JESUS, and the Holy Spirit, our counselor, our Guide who points us to JESUS, that is a good teacher. If my focus is on the LORD and not on the messenger, the LORD truly blesses me and my spirit then SOARS. Do I thank the Lord for my spiritual mentors? Of course. I also pray I would not be deceived! Very important in this day we're living in! Quote:
Because of these forums, I was curious to know what Lee's thoughts on this was. What I discovered is he wrote in his footnotes that the 24 elders were angelic beings. In the RcV, he gave no scriptural backing to prove his opinion being correct. Using scriptures, I rebutted his opinion. I don't expect or 'HOPE' anyone sees it 'my way'. Let the LORD enlighten, ignite and strengthen the hearts and spirits of every person on this forum, HIMSELF. But according to colossians 3:16,we are instructed to teach one another Quote:
![]() ![]() I have found other opinions in his footnotes over the years I refuted because they were confusing at best, but never tagged them and gave them much thought for the subject matter was not on the forefront of whatever I was studying at the time. Quote:
