This book is a sick distortion of the truth.

The Apostle Paul specifically warned us that for those who do not love the truth, God Himself would give them a great delusion, an operation of error.

“In every deception of wickedness unto those perishing, in return for which they did not receive the love of the truth in order for them to be saved. And because of this, God will send to them a working of delusion, for them to believe what is false, In order that all those not having believed the truth but having delighted in unrighteousness should be judged. - 2 Thess 2.8-10

I'd like to add to what Ohio said.

Just a quick observation about R&K's "Introduction". All of the "advice" they offer to the readers about John's account of events, should be applied to their own response. The goal or objective of any such response should be, not to tell people what to think, but to encourage people to petition the Spirit for wisdom to see a matter as He sees it.

R&K didn't dispute anything of substance of John's account of what happened in the LSM office. They just objected to the fact that John spoke at all and didn't follow the party line. They are trying to put the toothpaste back in the tube.

All this happened in 1989. Other than historical value, does it apply today? Has anything changed? Or, is the message still "Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain!"

Thanks for posting a link to the book, PriestlyScribe. I read the first few pages this morning and it gave me a good belly laugh. The sheer amount of deviousness they are trying to wring from innocuous words and phrases like "we" and "not at all" is endlessly laughable.

What a sad state of affairs that these small, petty leaders have destroyed so many lives with their lies.

For those of you who like me, would prefer to "listen" to books while doing productive work, an audio-book listen/download option is situated after the CONTENTS and above the Preface on page 4.

The AI voice is not polished but gets the job done pretty well IMHO.

The sarcasm seems to come through crystal clear & without any distortion which is quite important for those folks unfamiliar with Ron Kangas LOL.
