Article on how Christians can help prevent being deceived by leaders.
https://religionnews.com/2021/03/03/...blindness-spa/
This article is about Ravi Zacharias, but I think it could have applications to local church leaders and “MOTAs”. One bit of advice was to pay attention to small things, which could imply bigger things are going on. If only Ravi had convinced his board to “cover the sins of Noah” his empire would be intact. I think I placed this in the wrong forum? Would one of the admins move it to a more suitable location?

Re: Article on how Christians can help prevent being deceived by leaders.
“The sins of some people are conspicuous, leading the way for them into judgment [so that they are clearly not qualified for ministry]; but the sins of others appear later [for they are hidden and follow behind them]”.
1Tim 5:24 Amplified Bible

Wow. That article is spot on. Thanks for sharing it, HERn!
I remember reading the apology letter that RZIM put out last winter once the investigation was completed and they had come to terms with the full scope of the truth. Yes, it should have happened a long time ago, but still, I remember breaking into tears while reading it. "THIS is what corporate repentance looks like. THIS is a Christian response to victims of one's own, and one's leader's, sins of commission and omission. THIS is what the cynical watching world needs to see." I longed for the leadership at LSM to read that letter -- and with an open and humble heart. It's an example that would warn and benefit them greatly, IMHO. |
