In the 1960's and on in to the 1970's, my father who was a Civil Engineer, wrote computer programs for highway design and earthwork. In 1977 when I was 17, Witness Lee (WL) upon hearing about my fathers computer programs',.... And WL knowing about stuff like Apple and other computer related companies that at that time were becoming rich,.... Witness Lee invited our entire family to his house (That the "Saints" built for him) for dinner. So my parents show up all starry eyed cause the head guy,..."The Prophet",....had invited them to dinner. So at WL's house, his wife, and daughters, and his son Philip Lee's, wife,. Cooked us the most amazing 10 course meal we ever ate. And after the meal while WL talked to my father about possible business dealings, and WL taking over the licensing of my fathers programs',..... Phillip Lee had me sit down with him to watch a recording on his Beta max, and 3-D big screen TV, a recording he had of the 1977 super bowl. To put this in to perspective, at that time all the "saints" were banned from owning TV's, or following sports teams,... since such things were,..things of the world. But yet here in the top guys house, was the most expensive state of the art TV equipment money could buy at that time, and a recording of the super bowl. Even our family's own TV had gone in to the fire at one the "Burning s" a few years prior when my parents assimilated in to that cult.

And it was also around that time that "The elders" were pressuring "Saints" to invest in Daystar,..some business them and the Lee family concocted up, to build upscale luxury motor homes,...which failed and latter was found that the Lee family had embezzled millions out of it. When I hear ppl say "O it was all good and about Jesus until,..1995 or blaa blaa blaa when ever,...NO,....It was always from its very foundation,. Just a really smart Asian man,.... using an Asian style pyramid scheme to enrich him self and his family from. Even the living stream ministry at the time,..the ppl running that for him,..he ripped them all off. And WL,..or the elders,... stole multiple businesses from other "Saints" at that time. So from day one,..it was always just a,.... CULT! A text book CULT! Which is why the institution of the Local Church's got listed in the books written back then in the 1970's about cults,..which of course WL sued them for writing the,...TRUTH!! It always was, it still is,..and always will be,..just a,..... CULT!

I discovered it was a cult back in the late 70s, and have been saying that for decades on these LC forums.

But I've got lots of pushback from exLCer's who think it condemns the saints in the cult.
