Anyone out there from the UK?
I ended up on this forum ' cos I heard teaching by Witness Lee on Premier Christian Radio. Something rang a bell which said "Dodgey??'
I was taken back to the mid 1970s - I was 19-20 and I'd not long since got saved & a 'local church' started meeting in my town. My best friend, who came to Jesus partly thru my testimony, joined them and went on to marry one of the leaders. I did go to a couple of the meetings & thought it was all a bit odd while agreeing with some of the emphases of the teaching - eg body ministry, non denominational. It was all very confusing at the time. Most of this forum seems to relate to US. Any UK forumites out there? |

Re: Anyone out there from the uk?
As nobody has replied to my post - perhaps the 'local church' is no longer operating in the uk. Anyone know otherwise?

Yes, there are "local churches" there, quite active in London and the surrounding area, and at least Cardiff in Wales.
In the past, some from the UK have posted on this forum. There are many threads with a lot of postings. I do not know of any recent postings from ones in the UK. Last edited by Weighingin; 01-14-2019 at 07:03 PM. Reason: Additional info |

Thanks for your replies
I have alarm bells ringing 'cos not only is Witness Lee's teaching being promoted on Premier Radio (UK's main Christian radio station) but LSM under the name of The Amanda Trust also have a stand and a seminar slot at the Christian Resources Exhibition |

For a ministry which constantly condemns others for taking names, they sure have lots of them.
