parts of man (concentric circles)
I read a while back either on this forum or on the Facebook group about how the 3 concentric circles (body, soul, spirit) originated from Jesse Penn-Lewis in one of her books/writings. Does anyone happen to have a link or image of that part of her writings? It seems like most in the LC assume that WL or WN came up with the concentric circle theory perhaps?

This is exactely what Satan wants as to be involved in. We have really limited life time and should be able to read what is God's will for each minute. We should grow up in christlikeness and be holy and seperated devoted to God. To be disciple of Jesus means to learn from Him. It is Him who should correct us in our spirit which is mingled with His Spirit. We have only two options for each day: 1.To search constantly will of God and learn from Him 2. Filling up uour mind with trashes and to follow our will deceived by many factors. Circles or squers, this is only small picture to help new believers to settle in new mind all thing togather. But very intresting is what Jesus said about circles. This is in book and vers I have never found. To be more precize: This teaching has a strong ruts in Chineese philosophy. I heard many times from LC mambers: Oh, You know, it was just my old nature. I am transforming. God will change me during Years. It must be natural. Spntinious... Mat 12:36 And I say unto you, that every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment. 12:37 For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned. Oh! Jesus just forgot to mention: " Word spoken from sinfull unregenerated heart..." , or "don't worry Christians, it was just to Jews, I forgot to mention it." Nonsense! I see fruits of these "circles" everywere. Yeterday: visiting so called " Saints". 5,5 hours and only me quoted Bible or anyting connected to God!!! Commeone! I ve met with flesh? soul? or spirit? My grandson has one circle... football. Take all these circles and kick off very far away! My advise... |

Re: parts of man (concentric circles)
I'm pretty sure that's from Mary E. McDonough's 1920 booklet called "God's Plan of Redemption", now published by LSM. Amazon publication date listed as 1999.
https://www.amazon.com/Gods-Plan-Red.../dp/0736307184 So, they publish a theological treatise written by Ms McDonough, termed in the foreword by WL as "marvelous" and "a masterpiece", as unequalled in all of Christianity, but at the same time, their affiliated local church assemblies don't let a woman give a message on Sunday morning... has anyone noticed this? Or are we trying hard not to notice? Same with Dora Yu, Ruth Lee, etc etc. The double standards are striking.

You do realize you have posted on a discussion forum your advice to "not discuss"? Here's what the scripture says...against your advice: Acts 17:11 These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so. Further, the source is important as we learned from Witness Lee's errant teachings. Nell |
