Default Blind Loyalty to Deputy Authority

His book did not clear up the confusion, however, but simply enhanced the focus on Witness Lee and his ministry according to the movement begun by Witness Lee and Max Rapaport in 1974 and that accelerated with the Witness Lee campaigns in the 1980s led by Benson Phillips and Ray Graver.

Such a movement and focus on a man and a ministry was the actual cause of the “present confusion”, and its clouds have spread out over “the recovery” for over three decades now, never having been cleared up. The same movement that began in 1974 has not abated as it has become the obsession of Local Church leaders, issuing in the darkening of their understanding and hardening of their hearts toward their brothers in Christ. This is fully displayed by Andrew in his book.

Default Do as I say, not as I do

Interesting to me how Watchman Nee had the freedom to follow his conscience and his understanding of God's Word to establish new christian fellowships in China.

But if anyone else tries to follow their conscience and the Word of God, they are called "rebellious" and "despisers of authority" and "destroyers of God's building".

This seems like such a simple racket that any two-bit shoe salesman could pull it off, and it's potentially much more profitable besides. How do I sign up for a franchise?
