The Leeist point of view probably deduces the analogy, Lee was the modern day Paul and Nee's other co-workers were the modern day Barnabas.
Probably closer to the truth Lee didn't want any peers and Nee's other coworkers didn't see need to emphasize the ground of locality as Lee sought to.
