An evil spirit goes out of a person, and flies around through waterless places, seeking rest. Nobody wants to give it a home because, well, it's evil. Who would?

Then the spirit says, "I know what I need! Re-branding! Marketing!" So it hires a marketing firm, gets re-branded as "oneness" and the rest, as they say, is history. Sad human history.

Like the song "Where have all the flowers gone" - I think it ends with the refrain "when will we ever learn". . . All the mayhem, rancor and estrangement that follow this "spirit of oneness". . .when will we ever learn?
