Good works is a way to "please the Lord"? I think you are confused.

You say you have faith and this faith pleases the Lord, how exactly does one see "faith"? Abraham was the father of faith and we saw his faith in the God of resurrection when he obeyed God and offered up his son.

David was a man after God's own heart, he was pleasing to God, and we saw his faith when he stood up to Goliath.

Jesus was the author and perfecter of faith and we saw His faith in numerous works including His own crucifixion and resurrection.

Faith without works is dead, stinking, self deceiving, hypocrisy.
