Lot's of good responses here. To me the short answer to whether there can be genuine fellowship with an "absolute" brother is yes. Of course, simply stated fellowship can happen between any two born-again people. For you, the challenge would be to just abide in Him as you speak with this brother, and take your leading from Him on how to patiently respond. But the bigger issue is probably how tightly he is clinging to the whole LSM agenda, which can certainly be a big barrier to fellowship.
But we never know how the Lord will use us if we just remain close to Him and his leading. As the song goes (changed slightly from "nothing" to "no one"),
"No one, no one, absolutely (as in an absolute brother) no one - no one is too difficult for Thee!"
