Not just elders, but brothers and sisters who are not in official responsibility functions. Ones who come into the local churches as young adults or those raised in the local churches have very little exposure to non-LSM/LC fellowship.
There's tendency to value "the ministry" higher than "the pure Word".
Yes they can be absolute for this type of fellowship that's all they've ever known. Because of it are unwilling to fellowship anywhere else.
I've known Southern Baptists and Lutherans who were raised in their denominations. That's all they know and are unwilling to fellowship apart from it. Local churches aren't any different from Southern Baptists or Lutherans. Denomination just the same.
A bigger problem is what happens when being absolute for a man's ministry is in conflict what the Word of God says?
