Interestingly enough, I was just reading something by T. Austin Sparks where he talks about God's economy - His "old economy" (old covenant) and "new economy" (new covenant). This has been published in book form from a series of talks given in 1968 by Sparks, and I wonder when he first started speaking of God's economy.
I also wonder how many others of used that phrase. I heard a radio speaker mention the Greek word this week (oikonomia), but he then translated and used it as "administration."
