Default Re: This Was Written In November Of My Senior Year At Berkeley.....

I went through a similar liberation of realizing much of what was taught and practiced in the LC about “the world” was a bunch of balcony fairly early in my years in the LC but didn’t know why such weirdness toward normal human behaviors were so pervasive until I realized it was coming from Witness Lee himself and I went back to compare what he taught and practiced with the Bible’s definition of all that is in the world, “the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes and the boastful pride of life, is not from the Father, but is from the world.” 1 John 2:16. That leaves a lot of other normal human things taboo in the LC: music, friendships, love, family, laughing, dancing, thinking, emotions, among many others!

The shame is the ruination the disconnect wrought in us and our relationships!
