Hello, I have been reading this thread and several others by people who grew up in the Recovery and am finally getting up the courage to post a reply because they echo my own thoughts and some experiences so much. I’ve lurked on this board some over the last year and a half, but have felt reservations about engaging for a variety of reasons. Without going in to too much detail, a summary would be a general feeling like I’m coming from a very different place than most of the posters. I just wanted to say, I can appreciate and relate to the OP’s uncertainty about how to enter a world that seems so different from everything they know. It is scary and confusing. Seeing the other responses on this thread from church kids hopefully will encourage the OP with the knowledge that even if we don’t have all the answers, it helps knowing you are not alone in this experience. I have submitted a request to register today, so look forward to future discussions.
