One of the main basis brother Andrew uses for chapter 5 is the verse where it says that the "Spirit was not yet." His thought in this phrase is profound; what I understand him saying is that when the Spirit came down He did not come only as the Spirit of God, as the divine Spirt, because it "was not yet." That is, it was not in the form that the believers could drink from inwardly. Not yet.

Through His glorification the Spirit was made ready with the glorified Humanity of Jesus. So when the Spirit did finally come down He also came as the Spirit of Man. Now it was ready (it was no longer "not yet"). Thatīs why he says the "Spirit of the God-man." Not only the Spirit of God, but now also the Spirt of Man.

"And the Holy Spirit could come down as the Spirit of the God-man --most really the Spirit of God, and yet as truly the spirit of man."
