The faith, willingness to be brought before Him, was the repentance. Jesus can see into hearts, unlike us, and could see the condition of the paralytic's heart, whether defiant and closed (unrepentant) or humble and open (repentant).

Ten years ago I also was extremely patient and long-suffering with awareness' many off color questionings, and like you offered extended and reasonable answers for him. At what point do we just assume that some of his posts are just plain trolling from Wile E. Coyote on his keyboard?
