"Jesus Christ never taught that" is very weak and misleading. Where did Jesus live at 13 years old up to when He was 29? Whatever one would answer can be refuted by saying "Jesus Christ never taught that." Did Jesus ever have a girlfriend? Whatever the answer could be refuted by saying "Jesus Christ never taught that." Was Jesus ever married? Whatever the answer, it could be refuted by saying "Jesus Christ never taught that."
Regardless, Yes He did teach that He was going to get inside of us. The point is He taught it was going to be possible after His death and resurrection.
On that day you will know that I am in My Father, and you are in Me, and
I am in you. John 14:20
I in them and You in Me—that they may be perfectly united, so that the world may know that You sent Me and have loved them just as You have loved Me. John 17:23
How can He enter into us if He resurrected and ascended bodily and is sitting at the right hand of God? Because He is Spirit; otherwise there could not be such a thing as "the Spirit of Jesus" or the "Spirit of Jesus Christ".
