Was Witness Lee actually a godly man? I’m too young to have ever met him, but from what I perceive he had a God complex that really shined through his personalized interpretations added to the word of God. I’m willing to overlook a lot of other things, seeing as no man is infallible. But I find him adding all his stuff to the Bible blasphemous. Facts don’t need feelings.

The question of whether Witness Lee was a godly man is a great one that really should be asked of those who lived around him a lot. Anyone on the forum close enough to answer this? My observations of him were just at conferences, trainings, church meetings and a phone call. He certainly didn’t live or promote an outwardly sinful lifestyle. Quite the opposite. But, yes, he had a god complex, and was thus not godly for that (and other reasons chronicled on this web site.
