One neat thing about Acts 15 also is that the whole church in Jerusalem was present to hear the discussion. This wasn't a "how dare you ask any questions, how dare you know what's going on, how dare you want to know how a situation is handled" thing like the co-workers' screed from their recent Q&A site. There was a big debate in the church and everyone was involved, not kept in the dark.
