The Enneagram Institute®, created in 1997 by the late Don Richard Riso and by Russ Hudson, was formed to further research and development of the Enneagram, one of the most powerful and insightful tools for understanding ourselves and others. At its core, the Enneagram helps us to see ourselves at a deeper, more objective level and can be of invaluable assistance on our path to self-knowledge.
This sounds like a "New Age" kind of program, which should give any serious Christian a lot of caution and pause, to say the least. I'm assuming that this is just some sort of voluntary workshop that only a small number of the church members are participating in?

Thanks, UntoHim. I did look into the Enneagram and that is exactly what bothered me - very new age, and connected with occult practices, etc. Nothing I want to be involved in for sure.
What mostly concerns me though is what do I do now? I won't go to the workshop, but do I continue to fellowship there, when the pastoral staff is announcing this event and encouraging people to attend?
Do I leave? Do I stay and just not participate? Do I stay and let people know my view of how I understand the Bible as it applies to the situation?
No group of people is perfect, but what do you do when things don't match the Word as you understand it?
I think of Revelation 2, with all those churches and their various problems, sins, environments, and troublemakers. The Lord told some to repent, some to hold fast, some to overcome. What is He saying today in light of all the strange things happening? I heard some news about Hillsong recently, and stories about gold dust and angel feathers, and the practice of grave sucking. Those things seem obvious to me, but other influences are subtly impacting how we meet, what we teach, etc.
We have an anointing and we know. What I lack is the wisdom to know how to talk with my brothers and sisters about some of these things.
Have any of you experienced this, around this or a similar topic?
