When we do focus on Christ on an objective sense, it does lead to a subjective peace within I find.

"You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in you, all whose thoughts are fixed on you!" (Isaiah 26:3 NLT)

"For to set the mind on the flesh is death, but to set the mind on the Spirit is life and peace." (Romans 8:6 ESV)

It seems my experience lines up with the Word.
