I wanted to go back and pick on this part of what you said in a post. I do enjoy participating in gatherings of other Christians. I then get to experience God's love in me for all the body, and it's expanding to experience His love with others than who I normally meet with. However, I agree that many know little to nothing about their human spirit and that Christ lives in them.
Often in these other gatherings, while there are some saints up on stage singing and the words are flashed on a screen, not that many non-stage ones are singing. Or if they are singing, they are just kind of mouthing the words. This happened this morning as I was in a Methodist gathering that family members are part of. I sang songs with gusto, because I've experienced over time that my mouth is mysteriously connected to my spirit. Most others usually keep fairly quite it seems, although there was some good clapping along at one point.
Then the leading one instructed us to turn and greet those around us. I enthusiastically asked one woman near me, "Are you in Christ?" expecting her to give me a resounding, "Yes, I am!" Instead she looked puzzled and said, "What?!" I repeated, "Are you in Christ?" She then replied, "I hope I am." There were also a lot of theatrics in the leader's "presentation."
But I'm learning that my role, when I visit other gatherings, is to keep turning to Him and do my best to not be judgmental. Otherwise, the flow of the Spirit quickly subsides and I sense little love for these ones He died for!
