I agree. I would add that they not only put it up, they fortify it, reinforce it, maintain it, protect it, build it higher, build it thicker, add a moat, maybe some cannons and crossbows........
There have been attempts to paint the wall with camouflage so it blends into the surroundings and looks like it's not really there but......it is there.
