It is NOT unwise to go to 'church'.. Please do not feel guilty. It is good for us to have fellowship one with another but no where in the scriptures does God tell us we must 'go to church'.
First and foremost, we are encouraged to
Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman
that needeth not to be ashamed,
rightly dividing the Word of truth. 2 Timothy 2:15
I don't know if any denomination man made 'church' that stresses this scripture. The pulpit preachers give a 30-45 minute sermon and that's about it. I did not understand what 2 Timothy 2:15 really meant until just very recently and I have been reading, studying, fellowshipping since I got saved in 1975.
Jesus told the multitudes in Matthew 15:8-9
people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me. 9 In vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.
I think that scripture and many others speak directly to us today.
The LORD through Paul then tells us in 1 Thessalonians 5:11
to comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye do.
If you don't have anyone to fellowship with, to study God's Word together, ask the LORD to send you someone, perhaps even 2 or 3.
Blessings!
