Good points Weighing. Matthew, quoting Deut. 8:3 has Jesus saying to the devil in the desert, "
Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God."*
It's interesting that that word was not OT or NT word, but mouth of God word.
