Yes, pursuing anything or going after anything or attaining to anything or liking anything or being interested in anything or having a light in your eye about anything or getting excited about anything.......was worldly.

Yes. This evil concept from the LCs drilled into young people from a young age has defined my whole life.

In many places in the LCs this has gotten better and is relaxing towards normal human levels of reality. But for those who grew up in it under the abnormal levels.....it has been devastatingly detrimental.

I can see in front of me a very real struggle between those in the LCs who see how ridiculous labeling everything "worldly" is and not allowing kids and adults to live their lives in a proper and lawful way, but who are unable to break the strongholds because of those others in the LCs who wave the ministry flag so fast and furiously against anything in life that is not 1000% infused with Christ/the church and only Christ/the church, that positive progress in this area is painfully slow.

It hit me recently after observing a certain meeting in which three guitar players were needed to provide sufficient volume (and 3 wasn't enough).....what the flip is the difference between many guitar players for volume versus electronic amplification of a guitar? For so many people to go along with "electronic = worldly" and act like electricity is the devil himself is just.......insane.

Another example....I know brothers who to this day refuse to wear denim jeans because their origin was "rebellious".

It is completely ridiculous to even be a human being in a position to even have to deal with this stupid stuff. Do you think other Christians are condemned over their jeans? I see pastors preach in jeans!

I live in jeans and love every minute of it. But even then there is a small part in me that goes "...tsk tsk....rebellious". It's all that mental noise that I am so jealous of other believers that they don't have to deal with.
