About half the sayings in
The Gospel of Thomas are also found in the synoptic Gospels. Since you accept those sayings when they appear in the synoptic Gospels, to say that
The Gospel of Thomas was made up whole cloth seems mistaken. Do you reject every book that isn't in the canon as worthless? Ancient as it is
Thomas has tremendous historical value if nothing else.
