Isn't that what we are anyway, pointers?

Well, That's up to the Lord Jesus. If they are led by the Spirit who are we to suggest that they will never lead?

On the other hand could they be considered false prophets and if that is the case we should flee from them?

I believe they were very gifted brothers however they obviously didn't have the vision or the maturity to lead. Otherwise this shouldn't have happened.

We have a saying here at this household, "SLOW OBEDIENCE IS NO OBEDIENCE." So if your not listening you are in disobedience.
