I know of LCers who have testified about “leaving denominations,” those are the types who saw the LCM as more desirable than what they had previously been a part of. Such people, however, by no means ever represented a majority of those in denominations, and ironically enough, plenty of such people have “moved on” from the LCM as well.
When you look at the all the various criticism the LC directs at other Christian groups, it is always related to variances in practice. They then try to argue that because no other groups practice things like their doctrine of localism or "calling on the Lord", that the condition of other groups is subpar. Variances in what groups chose to practice isn't indicative of condition at all. It's simply assumes that one type of practice is better than another. For example, in some denominations, there might be places that still use an organ for music. LCers would characterize this as too 'religious'. At the same time they would point at the more contemporary churches and characterize their worship bands as being too 'worldly' (a double standard indeed). Only the LC standard of music is recognized as 'genuine'. Obviously, such things are all a matter of preference, and an attempt to use such practices to make implications at state/condition is just being nitpicky.

I think the experience of most who join the LSM from denominations is related somehow to the lack of sound bible teaching, or the lack of all members functioning, or just general dissatisfaction with the denomination.
I think this explains a high number coming from traditional mainline denominations, Catholic, Anglican, Lutheran, and particularly those that reject biblical values and adopt pro-gay marriage stance etc.
I do not expect many coming from denominations which teach the bible and value members participating - baptist, presbyterian etc.
A number are non-denom Christians who go from house fellowship to house fellowship but want something more structured.
