Jesus is the light of life John 8:12 NASB
Then Jesus again spoke to them, saying, “I am the Light of the world; he who follows Me will not walk in the darkness, but will have the Light of life.”
In Matthew 5, Jesus says his followers would be the light of the world as a city set on a hill. At other times he challenged his followers to not be those who hid their lamps under baskets and to keep their eyes pure as the lamps of their bodies.
